Junior A team won the Jersey Rockz Elite Invitational last year! U16s and Bantams hope to keep it going!

The Midget U16 and Bantam Major teams will ship off to Newark, NJ this upcoming weekend to participate in the Jersey Rockz Elite Invitational, held at Codey Arena at South Mountain in West Orange, NJ and the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

The Midget U16s are ready to rebound off a tough Lobsterfest tournament finish. After 2 dominating wins in Lobsterfest, the U16s lost 2-one goal games to get knocked out of the Championship Game.

"The team is ready to compete in New Jersey this weekend. Although we had some tough losses at Lobsterfest, we are still 11-2-0 on the season with 2 big Tournament Championships," Head Coach, Anthony Langevin, was quoted saying. "We have to play 3 full periods of each game and have to take care of our defensive zone, as much as our offensive zone. If we do that, we have a good chance at beating the best teams in New Jersey and Pennsylvania."

The Bantam Majors will be moving up to the Midget U15 division for the tournament. "We had a great performance in Walpole, in June," Coach, Henri Langevin, was quoted saying. "Capturing the Lobsterfest tournament title and defeating a home town team was big. We will be challenged a lot more in New Jersey, by playing up an age bracket, but I know we are ready. Should be a great weekend of hockey for both teams. We hope to come home with 2 Tournament Championships, after this weekend."

Good luck to the U16s and Bantam Majors this weekend in New Jersey! GO 'CATS!
