The Northern Vermont Wildcats are thrilled to announce that Kaden Pickering has committed to play NCAA Division 1 Men's Ice Hockey for the St. Lawrence University Saints.

Pickering, a 1998 birth year, is currently in his first year at Northwood Prep School in Lake Placid, NY. Before Northwood, Pickering was a stand-out at Norwood-Norfolk High School in Northern New York. He tallied 58 points (30 goals and 28 assists in 22 games) as only a true Freshman and finished as the Runner-Up in the New York State Section X Boys Ice Hockey Points Leader.

"Kaden's an incredible ice hockey player who has it all. Every time he touches the puck he makes something happen. Not only does he perform on the ice, but he is an excellent student as well in the classroom. I could not be more thrilled for Kaden,” Director of Player Development, Henri Langevin, was quoted saying.

With the Wildcats, Pickering is always an offensive threat. He was a key player in the ‘98 team's International Tournament Championship in Montreal last Spring, as Pickering led all Tournament Scorers with 13 points (8 goals and 5 assists) in 5 games.

We wish Kaden and the entire Pickering family the best of luck as a Saint!
