Wildcats expand into Europe!

Duo of Europeans sign with NVW Program

The Northern Vermont Wildcats are thrilled to announce the first two European players to join the NVW Program for our 2015 campaign.

Renat Nigmatullin (5'11" 175) currently skates for Rice Memorial Prep. He is a Senior 1997 forward who leads the team in goals and points. Through 22 games, he has 22 points (14 goals and 8 assists). Nigmatullin plays left wing on the Knights' first line and is a force to be wrecken with on the ice. Nigmatullin is from Ukraine.

Konsta Jaakola (5'6" 156) currently also skates with Rice. He is a Junior 1997 forward who leads Rice in assistts. Through 22 games, he has 4 goals and 17 assists, for 21 points. He is second on the team in points, to Nigmatullin. Jaakola plays with Nigmatullin on the Knights' first line and together, the two of them are unstoppable hockey players. Jaakola is from Finland.

 

With the Wildcats, Nigmatullin and Jaakola will skate on our highly competitive and showcased, Junior A team, as well as our Midget U19 team. Both teams are coached by Henri Langevin (University of Connecticut - NCAA Men's Division 1).

We look forward to expanding the Wildcat program from the United States and Canada to Europe to help the program continue to grow and continue to become the best Elite Off-Season Hockey Program.
