The Northern Vermont Wildcats are excited to announce that Cameron Speck has committed to play Prep Hockey at Phillips Exeter Academy for this upcoming 2016-17 hockey season.

Last year, Speck captained the Adirondack Jr. Wings U16 team in the USPHL's U16 Premier League. As a defenseman, Speck finished second in team points (21 total). Speck led all aspects of the Wings' special team operations, controlling the top power play and penalty kill units for the team. Before playing for Adirondack, he played for the CP Dynamo U16 AAA team. On the Dynamo, Speck also led all units and helped the squad to a New York State Tournament appearance at the Tier I level.

"Phillips Exeter is lucky to receive such a great student and hockey player, General Manager, Anthony Langevin, was quoted saying. Cam has been with us for a few years, and each year he focuses on getting better each and everyday. I can't say enough good things about Cam and am excited to have him start his new journey to Phillips Exeter."

Speck will skate on the Wildcat Junior A and Midget Premier teams this spring and summer for the Wildcats. We wish Cam and his family the best of luck next year and good luck to The Big Red on the ice!
