The Northern Vermont Wildcats are excited to announce that Jacob Juron has committed to play NCAA Division 3 Men's Ice Hockey for the State University of New York (SUNY) at Potsdam for the 2017-18 season.
Juron's big year, statistically, was with the CP Dynamo U18 AAA team in 2014 when he led them to a New York State Championship at the Tier I level, and collected a 8-13-21 scoring line in 20 games. He averaged over a point for the season and also served as one of the captains on the team. After playing for the Dynamo for several seasons, Juron headed to the PAL Jr. Islanders in the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) and currently is on their top team in the Premier Division. He's a major force on one of their top scoring lines, as well as on special teams.
Juron played from 1st year Midgets all the way up to the Junior A team within the program. He was a valuable part of all NVW teams he played on and captured multiple tournament showcase titles with the program.
We'd like to congratulate Jacob and his family on an awesome accomplishment and we wish the Bears the best of luck next season!
