Anthony spent his first three years of high school at Queensbury High where he finished as the #3 leading points player in the Section 2 Capital District Hockey League. After Queensbury, he skated two years for the Albany Academy in the New England Prep League and helped lead the Cadets to two successful finishes by advancing to the New England Prep School Large School Championships. Anthony then headed to Canterbury School, also in the New England Prep League, and helped lead the Saints to their best season record in years. He then skated for the New Hampshire Fighting Spirit Junior A Men's Ice Hockey Team in the North American 3 Eastern Hockey League (NA3EHL). He finished with a 23-21-44 scoring line for the Fighting Spirit and helped them to an NA3EHL Regular Season Championship title as well as finishing the season as an AAU National Championship Semi-Finalist. Anthony was recruited by past Head Coach Jaymie Harrington of NCAA Division 2 – Franklin Pierce University and under Harrington, anchored the #1 Power Play unit and helped the Ravens to their most successful season in years. He spent multiple seasons with the Ravens before transferring to play NCAA Men's Division 3 Ice Hockey for the Daniel Webster College Eagles. With a younger squad, the Eagles competed in one of the most competitive leagues in the country and had one of the strongest schedules for any team: the New England Hockey Conference. Anthony notched key goals against nationally top ranked: Norwich (national champion), Babson (#2), and Castleton (#23), as well as having a multi point game against Southern New Hampshire. He finished his playing career for Southern New Hampshire University, Division 2.
Anthony's younger and aggressive coaching style is loved by every player he coaches, in addition to his dedication to move student-athletes to the next level in their hockey careers. He has helped place and has coached over 1,000 players who have played for him at various Prep School, Junior Hockey, and NCAA College Hockey programs. |
