Bantams outscore Ice Hogs: 25-7 en route of title! The Bantam Major team shipped off to Plattsburgh, NY to compete in the North Country Showcase, this past weekend. The Bantams went 3-0-0 in the showcase and outscored the Adirondack Ice Hogs: 25-7 during the weekend.
In game 1 Saturday morning, Kyle Holland led the way with 2 goals, while Sam Cottrell, Michael Wolf, Ethan Bliss, and Tino Benamati each produced a goal and an assist for the winners. Great defensive play by Maritime newcomer, Jackson Thomas, helped the 'Cats pull out a 7-4 win against the Ice Hogs.
Game 2, Saturday afternoon, was all Wildcats as they cruised to an 8-3 victory. Josh Bliss scored 2 goals and assisted on another to led the 'Cats with 3 points during the game. Tino Benamati and Michael Wolf each scored 2 goals a piece, while Cameron Jenks and Geordan Buffoline also scored for the team.
In game 3 Sunday morning, the 'Cats came ready to finish the weekend on a very high note. Sam Cottrell produced 4 points (2 goals and 2 assists), while Jackson Thomas recorded a hat trick and Cam Baker (2 goals, 1 assist), Ethan Bliss (1 goal, 2 assists), Tino Benamati (3 assists), each had 3 points each. Ryan Robens and Michael Wolf also scored while Cam Speck and Geordan Buffoline each recorded an assist. Jake Pasquini played a great game, anchoring the defense. The 'Cats took the game 10-0.
