Coach Sancibrian and the Mites went 4-0 en route to the Tournament Championship!

The Inaugural Mite Major Wildcats team impressed everyone at the Tri-Town Ice Arena in Hooksett, NH, this past weekend. They finished the weekend with a 4-0-0 record and made history within the program by capturing their 1st ever tournament.

In Game 1 on Friday, the Mite Majors came out ready to show Hooksett how strong of a team they truly can be. They skated hard and took home a 10-1 win over the NH Avalanche.

In Game 2 Saturday morning, the 'Cats came out shooting to score and built a big lead over a discombobulated Winchester Sachems squad. Another early lead propelled the 'Cats to an 8-0 win.

In the last preliminary game of the tournament, the 'Cats found themselves stunned by a pesky West River Royals team. The Royals went up 1-0, less than 15 seconds into the game. The 'Cats would answer with 20 straight shots to tire out a shortened Royals bench. The 'Cats built momentum after a few goals and never looked back. Final score: 'Cats: 8, Royals: 1.

With a strong performance in their Semi-Final game, the West River Royals were determined to give the 'Cats a run for their money in the Championship Game. As the #1 seed, the 'Cats knew they had to finish the tournament strong. The Royals stayed with the 'Cats as long as they could, but it wasn't enough as they defeated the Royals to capture the 2015 Jr. Monarchs Spring Classic Tournament in the Mite Major Division with a 4-1 victory!!!

Congratulations to Coach Sancibrian and the team on a great start to their season! They set the bar high for other Wildcat teams! Best of luck to the Peewee Major, Peewee Minor, and Squirt Major teams as they themselves ship off to Hooksett, NH for Round 2 of the Spring Classic Tournament!
