2006 Premier (Gold) defeat prestigious Jr. Monarchs to take home Championship!

The Northern Vermont Wildcats 2006 Premier (Gold) team captured the 2015 NH Jr. Monarchs AAA Elite Summer Cool Down Championship this past weekend in Hooksett, NH. The 'Cats went 4-0-1 en route to the Tournament Championship!

In Game 1 Friday night, the 'Cats faced a tough NH Jr. Monarchs Premier squad, but scored with 38 seconds left to pull away with a 3-3 tie and a GREAT start to the tournament! In Game 2 Saturday morning, the 'Cats blew by the Nashua (NH) Edge 17-1 and on Saturday afternoon, the 'Cats took care of a pesky Lakes Region Lakers squad: 9-4. Sunday morning was complete domination by the Squirt Minors, as they blew by the NE Predators Premier team: 9-0, which set up a re-match in the Championship game between the hosts, Jr. Monarchs, and 'Cats. After a back-and-forth start, the 'Cats held on for 6-4 win!

Congratulations to the players and coaches on a great weekend of hockey! Also, congratulations to all Wildcat teams on finishing their season this past weekend! The Bantam Majors took 3rd out of 7 of the top teams in the country, Bantam Minors took home 2nd place, Peewee Minors also took home 2nd, Squirt Majors battled throughout the weekend, and the Mite Majors snagged 4th out of a competitive 7 team field.
